The Derby course has been fully redesigned, introducing a heathland style that sits alongside The Belfry’s established courses.
What was once the quieter option now feels distinctly different. The layout, shaping and visual identity have all changed, so if you've played it before, it will feel unfamiliar in a good way.
The Derby now completes a broader mix of golf at The Belfry.
The Derby tends to suit golfers who want something playable but still considered in its design.
With multiple tee options, including white, yellow, red and junior, it allows for different abilities to find a comfortable starting point. You’ll find it works particularly well if you are relatively new to the game, play off a mid handicap or prefer a round that balances challenge with enjoyment.
A Few Notable Moments
There are a handful of holes that tend to stand out:
Hole 3 (Par 3) – one of the more visually striking shots on the course
Hole 5 – shaped heavily by new landscaping, both visually and strategically
Hole 13 (Par 4) – played from an elevated tee with a clear view of the bunkering below
They don’t dominate the round, but they give it a bit of identity.
